Minnesota is home to several clay and mineral resources spanning a period of 3.5 billion years. We collect materials from many parts of the state in an attempt to showcase the region’s diverse geologic history.

From the remnants of ancient lava flows to more recent glacial lakes, each resource functions as an important marker of the unique environmental changes that have shaped the region.
